Tom Schieffer, ex Texas Rangers president, has been appointed to oversee Los Angeles Dodgers’ financial operations according to a Major League Baseball announcement. This move comes after doubts about current owner, Frank Mc Court’s financial securities and his inability to run the club. The dodgers have been in financial turmoil since October 2009. One of the first actions taken was the need for approval before making any expenditure of more than $5000.
