At least seven people-including a police officer- from Arkansas to Alabama were killed owing to the violent weather that ripped through the South for another night. The powerful storms has damaged homes in rural Texas community and spread destruction into Georgia and Tennessee
The severe storms in Georgia uprooted trees, blew out windows in a hospital and destroyed part of a school roof. A tornado warning has been issued in North and Central Georgia as more thunderstorms are to be expected later Wednesday.
Insulation and metal roof panels littered the grounds as Police officers did their routine check-walking down the streets in search of people who might have been stuck in the destroyed houses, spray-painting symbols at the houses that they have checked for people who might be inside.
