Mobile World Congress

Mobile technology market leaders gathered in Spain this week to share ideas as the Mobile World Congress kicked off in Barcelona.

The four-day event, held February 14-17, is a meeting place where more than 1300 companies and some 50,000 participants can gather, collaborate, network and exhibit their work.

Big names in the business such as Microsoft's Steve Ballmer, Google's Eric Schmidt, Twitter's Dick Costolo and Carol Bartz from Yahoo are all in attendance.

While the smartphones and tablets are on display it is the operating systems, content, devices and chips that run them that are set to take centre stage.
