Lava has begun spewing from fissures in the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii and shooting more than 20 metres in the air.
The vent on the active volcano was first seen late on Saturday 5 March and the eruptions also caused more than 150 earthquakes in the area.
The fissures resemble rivers of fire and cover an area through green forest almost one-third of a mile long.
Kilauea is considered the world's most active volcano and the crater Pu'u O'o, where the fissures are located, was formed in 1983.
