How many Wives did Osama Bin Laden have?

It is believed that Osama Bin Laden had 5 wifes and 11 children. The youngest was Amal al-Sadah who was 18 and Osama was 43, when Amal al-Sadah married to the world’s most wanted man. The wedding was arranged by an Al Qaeda representative in Yemen, Sheikh Rashed Mohammed Saeed Ismail. The latter spoke to the press last year about Amal’s religious convictions and belief in Osama.

It is believed that Osama Bin Laden paid around $5000 in dowry. Within a year of the union, a girl, Safiyah was born. She is most probably the girl Pakistani officials have said saw her father being shot dead. Meanwhile, her mother is still recovering from a leg wound sustained in the attacks. One of Bin Laden’s sons was also killed during the raid. According to reports, Osama Bin laden had 11 sons, but the number of daughters is unconfirmed. Some of his sons had apparently already deserted him to be more prosperous as part of the wealthy Bin Laden family.
