Kelly Clarkson Indy 500

What a show when Kelly Clarkson teamed up with Seal to launch the Indy 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on the weekend marking memorial day. The pair sang the National Anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner" which was accompanied by David Foster on the grand piano.

The lovely Miss Kelly Clarkson was elegantly dressed in a black dress, Seal really stood out in a yellow jacket, while David opted a more refined look by wearing a tuxedo. The performance started with an introduction by the world renounced composer before Seal sang the first verse and the gorgeous winner of "American Idol" season 1 followed him up.

Clarkson attended the event with her brothers and friends. "Um these cars are averaging around 220 mph?! Hanging at the Indy 500 having fun with my brothers and friends!" She tweeted on Twitter after the appearance. "Danica Patrick has the coolest car on this track!" she added. "It's neon green and super rad looking."

The winning trophy at the event went to Dan Wheldon. "Indy 500 winner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the 32-year-old British driver celebrated his victory on Twitter. Also being excited with Dan's winning was Justin Timberlake. The ex-member of NSYNC wrote on his own page, "Congrats to Dan Wheldon, the WR racing team and everyone else who put in the hard work for this victory! Unreal!"

Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides

Johnny Depp has reassured his fans by committing himself for some more time to the franchise which made him such a global star-Pirates of the Caribbean. The fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean will be released soon.

Johnny Depp has committed himself to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, saying that he'll play Captain Jack Sparrow for as long as people want him to. It comes as little surprise that Disney are going for a new movie under the banner, given the way the previous ones were appreciated by the public and the amount of revenue it generated for Disney. Speaking to the press in Cannes, Johnny felt the movies were made for the fans and when they get tired of it, it will just about be the end of the Pirates of the Caribbean and his role as Captain Jack Sparrow.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will be released o the 18th of May.

Wonder Woman TV Show?

After months of speculation, it has been confirmed that Wonder Woman will not become a TV show. The NBC has finally decided to shelve the “Wonder Woman” project put forward by TV mogul David E. Kelley. Robert Greenblatt spoke earlier about why he opted against giving the series the go ahead. Kelley’s pilot included Adrianne Palicki, replaying Lynda Carter who played the role on the small screen. Greenblatt found the pilot nice and the role played by Palicki excellent. However, he felt it was not what they were looking for right now.

NBC decided to do what was best for their schedule. The show would have been aired later during the year and Palicki had even appeared on various websites in her costume. Greenblatt was surprised by the uproar caused by Palicki been seen in the “Wonder Woman” costume. While he appreciated the attention the show got, he still was not sure it was what they were looking for. It is not known yet whether Kelley will try his luck with other networks.

Thor Earnings Reports

Thor is number one at the box office. The movie, featuring Chris Hemsworth, earned nearly $35 million during its second weekend, it was reported on Sunday.

Those figures now bring Thor’s national earnings to $119 million which is about half the amount earned by Iron Man 2, this time last year. Globally, Thor has racked up $344 million and this might just tell you why so many producers are going for action movies nowadays.

Angelina Jolie has a new tattoo but that does not necessarily mean she will be adopting again. Some ten years ago, she mentioned that she wanted to have enough children to have a football team. That was way before she adopted Maddox. Now, Jolie claims there is not chance she is adopting a child right now.

Is the Celebrity Apprentice coming back?

Bob Greenblatt announced that even if Donald Trump wins the presidency, it would not put an end to “The Celebrity Apprentice”. Indeed, the show will still go on once football ends on Sundays during the 2011/2012 season on the NBC entertainment network.

If the delay surrounding the NFL persists for some more weeks, Greenblatt has a contingency plan. The network is considering some reality type shows in the meantime.

Glee will hit the screens soon, and even better, it will be in 3D. The Fox Hit will be released as Glee Live! 3D!, a film based on the Glee concert tour. The producers have opted for a two week run, which will start on the 12^th August 2011.

Producer, Ryan Murphy, expressed himself on how the fans had been amazing, but due to the limited amount of time they had, they could not visit a lot of cities before resuming work on the television series. He acknowledged the fact that not everyone who wanted to attend the concert actually had a chance to do that. This is why, Twentieth Century Fox Film has decided the give everyone the chance to re experience the concert effect all over the country, albeit in movie theatres. Murphy also promised to all the fans that they will not be disappointed by the experience, which will leave them singing and dancing.

Intel Soon to Unveil 3D Chip

Intel has revealed its latest chips which will enable even more processing power to be packed into even smaller spaces. The costs are expected to decrease and the chips may even use less power to operate. This latest technology comes as a result of nearly 10 years of hard work. However, the chips will only be available in new computer or mobile phones towards the beginning of next year.

Intel chairman, Gordon Moore, predicted in 1965 that chip capacity could double every couple of years. While this has been true for the best part of 50 years, it was thought that Moore’s Law had its limits. Yet, this latest advance has ensured that the next generation of chips will have a 37% increase in performance.

‘3D’ refers to the transistor units which will allow electrons to move up, down and sideways in the new chips. No products have been announced yet, but better 3D graphics and multitasking are likely to benefit from this development.

She is most probably the girl Pakistani officials have said saw her father being shot dead. Meanwhile, her mother is still recovering from a leg wound sustained in the attacks. One of Bin Laden’s sons was also killed during the raid. According to reports, Osama Bin laden had 11 sons, but the number of daughters is unconfirmed. Some of his sons had apparently already deserted him to be more prosperous as part of the wealthy Bin Laden family.

Thor’s Chris Hemsworth believes in magic

We have been reading reports that as a youngster, Chris Hemsworth who is the star of the film “Thor,” believed in magic. After all, he had witnessed it with his own eyes. The 27-year-old grew up in the sun-scorched northern territory of Australia and once watched as his father — who had been hospitalized again and again for painful back spasms — gave himself over to the rituals of a healer from a nearby Aboriginal tribe.

“He had gone to hospital like once a month for these spasms and this man had said he could see something wrong with my dad’s aura and that he could fix it,” Hemsworth said. “After that ritual, my father never had a problem again, ever. At the time it just seemed the norm to me. It was a time and place where magic was just part of the landscape.”

The death of Osama Bin Laden has been greeted with relief by conservative radio host, Rush Limbaugh. The man, never far from controversies, laughed at suggestions that he had praised the president more than he should.

Limbaugh started his popular talk show by dedicating 8 minutes to the praise of President Obama for having attacked the Al Qaeda chief. He paid tribute to Obama for being effective, claiming that when deserved, praise should be showered on him.

The words coming from Limbaugh were simply reminiscent of his pro-conservative ideations. He maintained that Obama continued in the footsteps of Bush and was even responsible for single handedly being able to pull off the tracking and gun down of the world’s most wanted man. He even argued that the military would have just bombarded the area, like they usually do and that Obama was the most well placed person to decide to go with the Special Forces.
